Support & Help

There are three methods for getting Support & Help!

1) Look at the Frequently Asked Questions below,

2) Visit the Support Forum and post a question

Before E-mailing me with questions about Pic-A-Shot you should look at the Frequently Ask Questions to see if the question has been asked before. If you can't find it there look in the Support Forum, and if it isn't there post your question so that others can see the reply. I will ignore E-mail messages relating to questions that have already been answered. I get a lot of E-mail and I have 3 other businesses to run so time is an issue for me.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I have received my license but it doesn't work.

It is important when entering your License Number that the Business Name you registered with is exactly the way it was when you made your purchase. The License Number is a number derived from other information such as your Name, Business Name, etc. If it still isn't working then you are doing something wrong. Use the copy and paste method to ensure the number being entered is correct. Double check the spelling and upper / lower case of the Business Name.

  2. I have changed my Business Name and now I'm unlicensed.

If you change your Business Name you must get a new license - which by the way is free. Just contact us with your new and old Business Name and we will forward a new License Number to you.

  3. How can I look at packages I have created previously.
  4. On your Start Menu under the 'Pic-A-Shot' menu is a link to a folder called 'Open Distributable Folder' which contains all the Distribution Packages you've created. To view the content, open which ever folder you want and double click on the 'Pic-A-Shot' Icon. You can delete these folders if you aren't going to need them anymore.

  5. I can't do the Web Update thing.

The Web Update automatically checks to see if you have the latest version of Pic-A-Shot. If it can't access the update server then it can't verify the latest version. There are three possibilities. 1) You internet connection isn't connected, 2) Your internet connection requires a proxy server (check you browser settings), or 3) You firewall is preventing access (allow access). Oh, there is another option - maybe our update server is having a problem in which case try again later.

  6. The Client Application does not auto run

Some computers have had their Auto Run function turned off, either by the client themselves, or someone else that has had access to there computer. In these rare cases you must tell the client to open their "My Computer" icon and then browse their CD / DVD by double clicking on it. Once they can see the contents of the disk all they need to do is double click on 'Pic-A-Shot'.

  7. I cannot burn my Distribution Package

The methods I use, inside the program, to Burn the CD / DVD has been tested on standard DVD and CD Writers and worked in all cases. That doesn't mean that the Wizard can Burn to all CD or DVD Writers. If you can't burn please let me know the brand and model of burner you have. Also, make certain that you have the latest "Firmware" update for your equipment.
